Website Stats
Curious how many people visit your site? How long they stay? Which pages they visit, or even where they came from? Web Counters can track all this and more! We're building a best-of-breed Web Counter into Xanga...
But in the meantime, you can use an outside Web Counter to get by. We recommend SiteMeter.com. Sign up at http://www.sitemeter.com/ and they'll assign you HTML that you can paste into the box on the right. Good luck, and enjoy!
JavaScript Module
You can place JavaScript here that will appear in a right-side module. You can use this to display chatboards and newsfeeds. Due to security concerns, we've limited some JavaScript functions - also, we've limited externally-hosted scripts to a few trusted sites. Enjoy!
Note: This JavaScript Module was designed exclusively for free newsfeeds, but our newsfeed partner has stopped supporting this. We are adapting this module to be more flexible and powerful in the future, as part of a complete revamp of our Look and Feel features. Stay tuned!
P.S. If you need any help or have any questions about the module, please contact us.
Add a Background Image and Music to your site!
Background Image: In the "Background Image" text box on the right, enter the URL of the image you'd like to use as your background. NOTE: You'll need the image to be uploaded somewhere on the Internet for it to appear on your site. If you're a Xanga Premium member, you can use xTools to upload the image, and then enter the link to that image on the right. If you're a Xanga Classic member, you'll first need to upload your image to any other hosting site that supports remote linking of images.Check the "Fixed" checkbox if you want your background to remain in place while the page scrolls.
Music: Enter the URL of the WAV or MIDI file you wish to use as your background music. NOTE: free sites such as Angelfire and Geocities won't let you link to music hosted on their site. Click the "Loop" checkbox if you want the music to loop the entire time someone is at your site; otherwise the music will just play once and stop.
