- Scores are out of 100, where 100 = faultless/perfect, and 0 = totally void of merit/worst song ever.

Some aspects to consider when scoring:
- Sound design: ingenuity with and manipulation of the source samples, modification of samples to create new sounds, etc.
- Composition: structure, melody, harmony, rhythm, basically how well written you think the song itself is, etc.
- Production: mixing/mastering (balance between instruments, overall loudness if it's a factor), stereo field use, frequency spectrum use (good use of EQ), use of effects, etc.
- Overall enjoyment: simply how much you like the song.
- Anything else you deem important.

consider these elements on a case by case basis, as some may be more or less applicable depending on the song. how much you factor each into your scoring is up to you - if you wish, you may set aside a certain number of points for each element if it makes the judging process easier for you, however the total scores are the only thing that will be relevant in score calculations.

Comments: Mastering is a bit on the quiet side, not sharp.
It does have a sense of a cityscape, yet with a slight Chinese ethnic flair.
Doesn't catch on too much sadly.

Reminds me of Earthbound/Mother 3.  Something sounds very similar to the intro...
Great atmosphere overall.

Comments: Mastering is done so-so, could be sharper and more clear in certain sections.
Don't even need to guess, dust hill resident and Blitz_Lunar.
I smell DHR in the melody and BL with the percussion + rhythm.
I liked last year's song a little better, since this is more exposition and less melody.

It was funny to listen to, song title does give a sense of what you were trying to do lol.
And dust hill resident again!  I guessed then it was completely you at the ending.

It was better toward the end, it took awhile to build to the more nicer sections.
Great percussion and rhythm work.

Comments: Mastering was not so good, very muddy.
The muddiness of this song really made me not like it so much.
Ideas weren't bad, but hard to enjoy when it's so blurry sounding.

The background chords seemed a bit annoying as the song progressed.
I think it worked better at the earlier parts then it didn't work well as it went along.

I'm a total sucker for bossa nova, so yes, I loved it.
Some notes seemed off melodically, but it was good nonetheless.
One big problem is that I felt like this kind of stuff has been done a lot.

I like the feel of this song, it fit the theme of opening up a can and out comes SPC.

Comments: Mastering is okay.
The song really fits the title, even though no one actually gets hit in the crotch in the song.
Some things were really done nicely, but overuse of square made me a bit sad.
Effects were great and some percussive moments were also great.

Comments: Mastering was so-so.
Overuse of square synth is not good, considering that it was the obviously easy to use synth.
Also the rhythm was not very catchy and didn't change much.

which had a lot of popping.

Martian Lab at Midnight
Comments: Mastering was good.
This has a strong resemblance to the song from Diddy Kong Racing where you had to race the
small boss for the piece of the amulet.  Reminds me a bit of the Sonic genesis games too.
I think this is my favorite melodic song, love the part at 0:45ish, where I imagine
a crazy martian puppet surrounded by cat puppets.

Comments: Mastering was above average, but feels like it's on the verge of clipping.
Kris Troutman was here, episode 3 of the medium series.
I liked the break sections than the actual main sections since it was a bit too heavy feeling.
It set very good atmosphere for something like an alien encounter.

I made this one, I regret my choice of rhythm toward the second half.
If I redid it too, I would have added more melodic sections.

Comments: Mastering was above average.
I was worried that this would be massively repetitive, but it doesn't feel like it.
Sorta catchy, I loved the use of reverse-sounding synths.
Very peaceful and enjoyable for some odd reason, it really blows my mind.

Comments: Mastering was so-so, some pops and cracks from the synths.
I like this song better than the other similarly named song.
It's more catchy and has more going on, especially around 0:50 which is very pretty.
The held synth pads make me annoyed sadly.

The percussion was enjoyable, despite having no other melodic instruments than square, it was good.
It was way too short sadly.

I thought it was a very strong melody and well written, but I feel that thing song relies way too
much on square.  You really did a lot with the square though, so I didn't punish you so much for that.
Felt a bit short sadly, as though it was looped twice through the same section.
Very strong entry regardless.

Comments: Mastering was really quiet.
Hard to hear much of the song, it was really low and it really lacked energy until much later in the song.
The ideas weren't too bad toward the end but the first half really did not sell me.

I loved the melody, very strong and emotional like someone was singing.
It did not change too much throughout the piece though, especially the percussion.

Great job Lunar, knew you would push out a good one this year.
Not as melodically epic as Dream Gashapon last year, but it does have a lot stronger percussive feel this year.
Sadly, it feels a bit repetitive at parts and not so solid as a piece overall.
I sense a struggle when making this piece, however the mastering was done exceptionally well this time.

Great ideas, but felt a little sloppy at points.
Sounds very reminiscent of Sonic games.
It sounds like it is "tripping" at points for some reason, dunno if it was intended or not.

Reminds me of Paper Mario TTYD, absolutely beautiful and mystifying.
Dunno how others will rate it, but its absolutely stunning to me.
